League Competitions

J.B. Ritchie

Entries are open to members of affiliated clubs who are Class D or under, as defined in the Association Rules.

Eight (8) 15 Yard British NSRA 1989 Targets will be supplied to each entrant.

Two cards are to be shot each during the months December, January, February and March.

Entries to be received by the Competition Secretary not later than [TBA].

Completed cards must be returned to the Competitions Secretary within five (5) days of the last day on which they must be shot.

The Winner will be the competitor with the highest aggregate from the eight (8) cards.

AVERAGES:

UNDER 94 - The best five (5) from the last six (6) League scores to count prior to [TBA].

Where a competitor has not taken part in any previous League, they may declare the average of the best five (5) of the last six (6) cards shot on their home range.

Cards can be shot as a League Card.

Veterans' Cup and Oake Memorial Trophy

These are Shoulder to Shoulder Knock Out Competitions.

Entry Requirements:

Veterans' Cup: Competitors must be aged 50 years or older on 1 October

Oake Memorial Trophy: Competitors must be aged 60 years or older on 1 October

The Oake Memorial Trophy will be shot concurrently with the first stage of the Veterans' Cup. This trophy will be awarded to the top competitor in the first stage aged 60 years or older on 1 October.

Ties to be decided by re-gauging.

Qualification for entry to be made when entering the Veterans' Cup.

Knock-Out Cup

Club teams of four (4).

A Club can enter more than one team.

101 Challenge Cup

This is a knockout competition for teams of two shooters from the same club – each club may enter as many teams as it likes (but no member can shoot for more than one team).

Entries shall be accepted from all affilated clubs. Each member shall shoot one (1) 15 Yard British NSRA 1989 Target per Round.

A.J. Osborn Senior

Entries accepted from members of affiliated clubs.

Each competitor will be given a Handicap based on their average at the time that the entries close. The best five (5) from the last six (6) League scores to count.

The Handicap shall be fixed by the Competition Committee and shall be three quarters (3/4) of the difference between the competitors' average and 100.

Lowest Average: 85

Highest Average: 98

Lowest Handicap: 1.5

The Handicap will be added to the Gun Score and shall continue above 100 (i.e. Gun Score = 97, Handicap 4.69 - Total Score = 101.69)

The Handicap shall be revised for those taking part in the last final. Again, it shall be based on the best five (5) of the last six (6) League scores prior to the Final being shot.

FIRST ROUND: Two (2) cards for each competitor, to be shot on the competitor's home range.

FINAL: The top sixteen (16) in the First Round shall shoot two (2) cards on a range to be decided.

Open Shoot

Entries on the night.

All entries shall be made on the respective Ranges no later than 8.30 p.m. Shooting shall commence at 7.30 p.m.

Team members shall be notified at the time of entry.

The Counter shall be the Competitions Committee and all ties shall be decided by the use of graduated gauges.

Competition One - County Silver Medal: One (1) card per competitor classified A, B, C, D and Junior prizes NSRA County Silver Medal 1st and 2nd in each Class

Competition Two: Each competitor to shoot one card classified A, B, C, D and Junior.

Competition prizes: The IOMRA Indoor Shield. 1st and 2nd awards in each Class.

Competition Three - Ivy Osborne Trophy: 1st and 2nd Team Awards - Club teams of four (4). Each member to shoot one card.

Competition Four - Grand Aggregate of Competitions One, Two and Three: Any competitor not competing in Competition Three shall be issued with a separate card.

Prizes: The Homan Cup, 2nd Medallion Statuette, 3rd EPNS Spoons

Classification of Averages shall be determined from the best five (5) of the last six (6) matches/cards shot.

Hamilton Meikle

Entries will be accepted from members of affilliated clubs.

Classifed club teams of four (4). NSRA Classification.

This competition shall be postal for all rounds except the Semi-Final and Final, which will be shot at a Range to be advised.

Averages to be obtained from the best five (5) of the last six (6) matches/cards shot prior to the last Saturday in December in each year.

15 Yard British NSRA 1989 targets will be supplied by the Assocation.

Teams shall comprise not more than one (1) Class A, two (2) Class B, three (3) Class C and four (4) Class D shooters (e.g. ABCD; BBCD; CCCD; DDDD)

Membership of Teams, with their Class, must be nominated on entry.

A club may enter more than one team, but individual shooters can only shoot for one team.

Silver Bullet Disc Shoot

7.45 p.m. start.

Prizes are a solid silver bullet key ring or pendant.

RTD Stott

Entries from members of affiliated clubs.

Each competitor will be given a Handicap based on their Handicap at the time entries close. The best five (5) of the last six (6) league scores to count.

The Handicap shall be fixed by the Competition Committee and shall be three quarters (3/4) of the difference between the competitor's average and 100 (i.e. average at time of entry 93.75 - Handicap 4.69). This Handicap will be added to the competitor's gun score and shall continue above 100.

The Handicap shall be revised for those taking part in the last Final. Again, it shall be based on the best five (5) of the last six (6) league scores prior to the Final being shot in a shoulder to shoulder competition on a date to be confirmed.

FIRST ROUND: Two (2) cards each to be shot on the Competitor's home Rage.

FINAL: The top sixteen (16) in the First Round shall shoot two (2) cards on a Range to be advised.

W.S. Cowin

This is an individual knockout competition, with the finals open to two shooters from each club.

FIRST STAGE:

Should any club have more than 2 shooters who wish to take part then the clubs should hold their own knockout rounds prior to the finals to determine which two shooters qualify to compete in the finals (one card per round, deliberate, shoulder-to-shoulder).

One (1) 15 Yard British NSRA 1989 Target shall be shot per round. The two finalists from each club shall qualify for the Second Stage.

Cards for the First Stage may be supplied by the Competition Committee.

SECOND STAGE:

The entries from each club shall be drawn on a knock-out basis by the club and shot on the home range.

This shall be shot shoulder to shoulder on a knock out basis.

Lady of Mann

Ladies' Handicap Competition for female members of all clubs affiliated to the Isle of Man Rifle Association.

The Handicap shall be allocated by the Competition Committee and will be based on the averages submitted at the time of entry.

Handicaps shall be reviewed for the Final and shall be based on an average taken from the best five (5) out of the last six (6) league cards of the season, or prior to the date of the final stage.

Averages for any entrant who is not a regular team member to be decided by the Isle of Man Rifle Association Rule No. 10.1.2

The Competition is a straight Handicap to count (not a Kicker)
